Great lap, excellent driving, car looks very composed, anyone else think those upshifts are a bit slow though....

That is awesome.

I am sure there are some references to this being overpriced and slow on one of the many GTR threads

£403,000 for one of the 50 Nurburgring Editions..... yeh you're right that's not overpriced at all!

Normal LFA 7.38
911 GTS RS Mk II 7.33
911 GT2 RS 7.24
GTR (semi-wet ) 7.24
ZR1 (Cup rubber) 7.19
911 GT2 RS (Cup Rubber) 7.18
LFA Ring Edition 7.14

No doubt an excellent time, but when you look at that list and then their list prices.....

Oh yeah, $375,000 (base model, I think) is cheap!!

Do like the sound of it (not in that clip, but from the outside)...

Would be interesting to see what the GTR's time would be spending £15K on ceramic brakes, less weight and improved braking should shave a few seconds off?

That vid is showing a time of just over 3 hours for the lap before you click on it?

Assuming they used a standard road car as a base, around 7:38s

The clock starts and stops at two different points on the circuit, they haven't timed a full lap. There's at least 2-3 seconds to go on that time.

New 991 C2S lapped the 'Ring in 7:50, or in 'Best set up' 7:37.

I'll have a basic C2S instead of the LFA and keep the change, thanks.

I wonder if the extra 4 inches wheelbase size (over the 997) will equate to an extra 4 inches of space in the rear. If it does I think I might have one of these next year.

Btw, how does the 991c2s ring time compare to the 997c2s time?

Time for the 997 C2S with Ceramics, PDK, Crono and Cup tyres was 7:50 whilst the 991 with 'Best set up' was 7:37.

Only four seconds slower than a full fat 997 RS!!

I imagine that best set up includes Cup tyres and minimum options to keep weight down.

I would rather buy a GTR and save the rest of the money for a house. But that's me the LFA just does not have that I want one factor like a Zonda or Enzo.
