Thankyou Les; Im fighting a rearguard against 'what people think they know'... This would also include: 'you cant undertake'; yes you can, and: 'if your car isnt taxed you arent insured' yes it is!

The lesson to be learnt there; is that under no circumstances do you speak under caution and always elect to go for jury trial. Simon |

Simon :) Even with our legal system as corrupted as it is by NL's interference, your insurance company (as yet) cannot judge you on the basis of your being in debt to the Inland Revenue/Customs & Excise. |
This SORN crap is a pain in the arse for us as I have to have a mot on the rally car but it doesn't have to be taxed for single venue rallying so every so every "how ever long it is" we get the sorn paperwork in the post to renew
It's all a load of bollox to screw around with the motorist  because we all know it keeps all the illegal cars off the road  |
If a car driver has 3rd party insurance only ,which is all that is required by law then the vehicle actually isnt insured when its parked as it is not being driven.
As you or your mate can drive a vehicle under the 3rd party insurance of your own policy how do the police ascertain whether the said vehicle is insured or not? I just dont see how this is going to work. |
