Bridgestone Re050/Re050A
Does any one know the difference between a 215/45/17 RE050 and a RE050A.
I think the std fit on my newage is the 050 but will an 050A be ok ??? |
Should be, my dad's leggy has the RE050 but may try the Toyo CF1's next.

Thanks for that I think they will fit too but can anyone confirm what the difference is between the 2 ??
They both have the same load rating BTW. |

They both have the same load rating BTW. the 050 tyre is symetrical across the centre line of the tread pattern and hence has a direction of travel. But the 050A is a a-symetric tyre which has a inside and a outside. and is no-directional. |

Thanks for replies guys.
I have done some more investigation & as said RE050A's are asymmetric whilst the RE050's are directional. The have the same load rating 87w as the std RE050 GZ fitted on my car from new in 215/45/17 unless you get the XL (xtra load) 91w ones. All the dimensions etc are the same also so I am sure they they will be fine on my car. |
