New system build and I cannot get it to upgrade itself..... says not online.

Cant seem to force it to do that so after 2 months on and off trying so probably less ahssle to just replae it.

what does anyone use/ reccommend?

Cheers

Looks interesting , how do i import my old .mny file?

HankScorpio 25 May 2009 11:16 AM

You'll need to export to a different format first.

Q: How do I import my data from Microsoft Money?

There doesn't seem to be any home financial software available now, with Quicken long gone and now MS Money. I've got the 2004 version of Money and can't get it to install on Windows 7. Surely there must be a market for home finance software, especially at the moment.

Ouch, i never knew!

Seems like it went some time ago - i'm still using Quicken 98, but they did send me a Millennium Bug update on floppy disk several (well, nine and a half) years ago.

Oh well, and with me using a Palm PDA as well, it looks like i will be stuck in the dark ages forever ;)

Anyone ever used Sage 50? Would it massively be over kill?

ChrisB 12 June 2009 09:03 AM

Yes, would be OTT for home use.

MS offer Accounting Express for free so that might be worth a look.

Dedrater 12 June 2009 11:21 AM

Thought it might be, cheers for the link though, never knew that existed.

No problem. I think Accounting Express is probably overkill as it does invoices (IIRC)

what about using Excel? - surely there must be some ready made speadsheets on the net to download. I have used MS Money in the past, good program.
