If yes has been mapped for this? But can be your O2/Lambda sensor is knackered/damaged and you will need replace. What car is yours? Jura |
your front 02 sensor has a heater circuit as it works best at EGT temps so it's heated when cold. As long as the engine is up to temp it should be OK but will give false reading when cold. Could be loose wiring or a fuse.........or a new front 02 sensor which is a bit more expensive.
Just from the top of my head though so could be wrong... Shaun |
de-cat CEL for the rear sensor is P0420.....
Shaun |
its a 02 sti type uk bugeye and yes its been decated.the lamda sensor is in the down pipe, iam useing a classic up pipe no place in up pipe for lamda so this could be my problem

Rear one O2 sensor is usually cheaper than front one Jura |
thanks for the help lads thats cleared that problem up.as i say i had to use a set of headers off a classic when my equalenth headers gave up on me i had to fit a set of stanard classic headers i had lying about to get me back on the road quick
|
As I said Jura.........it was off the top of my head LOL
Shaun PS........which sensors have you put where ?? ie the front and rear 02 sensors. The bug STi has no sensor in the up-pipe anyway (Bug WRX has an up-pipe EGT sensor). |
sorry mate i was off line there for a while computer crashed,i have put a front sensor in the down pipe mate only place i could put it,

Why can't you put the Front 02 sensor in the exhaus tmanifold where it belongs..? Shaun |
Not really too common for the rear to go down, just check the wire hasnt come unclipped and rubbed through on the propshaft
|
Rob84.......it appears that it's a Front 02 sensor in the downpipe where the rear 02 sensor lives....mind you I'm easilly confused LOL

P0037 is REAR O2 SENSOR HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW (BANK 1 SENSOR 2) Jura I am getting P0037 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2). on my newage WRX 2005 Blobeye. all 3 CATS have been removed. not sure if its the front or rear sensor, and can also do with how many wires this sensor has and what the colours are ?any advise welcome. |
to clear this up
bank one sensor two is the rear sensor after the downpipe where the 2nd cat would be. bank one sensor one is in the manifold on the collector before the up-pipe on a newage |

Yes thats the one mate, Just make sure the wire isnt fouling the propshaft, I've seen a few rub through on there because there wires not been secured into the metal support bracket for the gearbox:thumb:
