sigma m30

hi
my 2003 wrx alarm immobiliser has locked me out.key unlocks the car but cannot disarm the alarm or immobiliser.
i had it recovered and auto electrician has checked everything.
he tells me the alarm unit and fobs have to be replaced and the system cannot be overridden.
can anyone point me in the right direction for new unit and fobs.
sigma m30.
thatcham number: TC2-808/0198.
thanks in advance

do you have a keypad? do you know the code?

Chalmers1967 22 March 2013 11:53 PM

yes have keypad.
keypad has been recoded, but auto electrician reckons the unit and fobs are goosed and need replaced

keljon 23 March 2013 12:14 AM

u might be better off getting that alarm removed and a toad or similiar thatcham 1 alarm fitted. The M30 is getting on a bit now

Chalmers1967 23 March 2013 12:24 AM

i considered that. electrician says can't be done with this model without a lot of re-wiring

have you thought of a 2nd opinion ?
you can buy a brand new M30 or S30 on fleabay and just swap the main units out and away you go.

Will this fit straight in or does the unit need to have the exact
Same thatcham Tc2 number, and are they specific to each different model ?
Thanks

It can be done mate. I've just had mine replaced for the same reason. It only took half a day to do it. I've had an auto watch alarm/ immobiliser installed. Where abouts are u ?

Give me toad installer a call. He will arrange it for you. If its the Ian I think it is he is very knowledgable on alarms.

ok, had a couple of offers now. big question. does it matter if serial number is different ? there seem to be a couple of versions of m30 on the go. same connections, same box, but different serial number. was also asked by Mr Toad Installer what the serial number is.
still awaiting a reply regards that one.
