Why do I keep getting eyelashes in my eyes?
 

At least one a day, usually easy to remove with a twist of toilet paper, moistened, but sometimes, like tonight, they go under the top lid and are awful.

What can I do to stop it happening?

sensible answers only please?

I have to take Lumigan for glaucoma, so my lashes are very long and thick.

Use a better quality mascara and be a bit more gentle with the eye liner pen, always thought you were the drag / drama queen type .:D

Sellotape eyes open, job done :thumb:

Thyroid disease
Stress / alopecia

To name a few possible ones that are likely. I suspect you haven't undergone chemotherapy or radiotherapy?

Have you considered eye drops. Moistening the eye will help the ball clear dirt and will naturally prevent pubes going into your eyes.

I don't have an answer, but I'll tell you it stings when they get trapped under a contact lens! :mad:

To get rid of the ones under your eyelids just pull the lid away from the eye by the attached lashes and attempt to blink. That usuall gets them out from under the eyelid.

I usually end up having to wipe them with a rolled up, moistened tissue.

I'm at the hospital on Wednesday evening, so will mention it to the consultant.

He might be able to see if I have any infection, and give me something for it.

I can imagine how irritating it must be.
