Im just about to break a mint 2002 sti impreza in WR blue... would like the engine to go first obviously so it can be heard running. please dont contact me about other bits yet because i want the engine to go first.
what do you think its worth? others on ebay and forums seem to be going for between £2k and £2.5k as a complete engine but usually dont include turbo and ancillaries
Im looking for £2200 for the engine with turbo, alternator, starter, flywheel, exhaust header and exhaust up pipe and red intake header.
only parts not included are clutch and intercooler.
You can either come view the engine running in the car, go to the pub for a couple of hours and come back to collect once its out OR can send you a short video of the engine running and have the engine out ready for a straight collection.
cash on collection only please and no im sorry im not willing to post.

how much you willing to let this go for? 2005 sti engines on ebay i have seen going for £995 and a wr1 engine with 36k on it went for £1050
has it had any engine work done to it? ie pistons?
ive seen one go that cheap but it was a bare block and couldnt be heard running. this is a complete engine including turbo starter alternator etc and can be dropped straight in.
Its a standard STi prodrive, so has forged internals, closed deck block, sti cams, vf34 turbo etc.

I bought this car as a running, driveable, MOT'ed and HPi clear (but damaged) car with the aim to repair and keep it, but have since had a change of circumstances and would rather break the car for parts to get my money back that way.
Engine Can be sold without the turbo for £1500.
Its a standard engine from a 2002 Sti prodrive, running at a reliable standard 305 bhp. no knocks or unusual noises.
I thought the standard EJ205 sti was a closed deck block? ive not had it apart to find out as its a perfectly good engine and i havent had to do any work to it so no, i cant be 100% sure mate. however please feel free to do your own research into the exact spec of this engine, its a 2002 type UK sti prodrive engine.
