I have owned this car for the last 8 months, I bought it here from a fellow Scoobynetter called Marcis (aka Mortoyz), he looked after this car extremely well and as many people can vouch, he never drove it in the rain.
This car is garaged every night, parked underground at work, cleaned every week, never any passengers (except perhaps my Wife now and again) and has never seen a Supermarket car park!
This car is immaculate, you have to see it to believe it.
It was personally imported by Marcis from Australia and is called an "Impreza WRX" over there but between me and you it is the same spec as a UK car. Please make sure you point this out to your insurance co. when getting a quote.
I have spent a small fortune getting this car to it's current state, it handles like it is on rails and the engine is tuned to perfection. Pat reckoned it was good for 280bhp when he was mapping it.
My insurance is due at the end of Feb and that is my date for selling this car, if I haven't sold it by then I will re-insure it and keep it, end of story.
I have no idea what car I want next, but I fancy a change, I may even go back to a bike so please no offers of part exchange and before you ask NO I am not flogging any bits separately.
I know you never get your money back on mods so I am willing to accept £10,995 for this car as is.
I am based nr J3 of M3 (Surrey)

Not to worried about the security info, I never leave it anywhere but at a secure car park at work and in my garage at home.
They would have to move 2 other cars to get to this and fight off a mad dog
I have replied to your mail Dan.

think it was more in case someone comes to test drive the car, knowing it hasnt got a tracker, it makes it all the easier for the scrotes to boot you out and run off with this beauty!

TTT - nice mota

Made me chuckle that you make a point the previous owner didn't drive it in the rain but then you post "wet" pics!

Please Humour me.

What do all of the modifications made to the motor actually do ? particularly the suspension changes.

Am looking for a car for the Mrs - and this one looks nice.
Is it a devil to insure with the modifications on there ?

Sorry - another question.

How is the car eligible for MOT with a full de-cat exhaust ? Does this affect it's ability to pass emmissions tests - and how many db is the exhaust - is it nova boy racer loud ?

Is the ride good - or is it a bit hard !

So many questions....

As I said before though - the car looks superb - well impressed

Yakker - MOTs not usually a problem, especially if you have a de-cat friendly MOT tester or a spare catted exhaust

Basically the de-cat exhaust will not pass an MOT, either find a friendly garage or ask them to re-fit the centre cat (I have the complete original exhaust in bubble wrap in my shed).
The burble it makes is gorgeous, Nova boys have wet dreams over the noise this car makes
The Ecutek 3 is a custom remap of the ECU, it has added another 30bhp & 30lbft of torque. Put your foot down in any gear and you get thrown back in your seat once the turbo kicks in.
Classic Impreza's tend to understeer, the work I had done at Powerstation has virtually eliminated this and like I said before it sticks to the road like excrement on a blanket.
The ride is not harsh at all.
Do a search for "bumpsteer removal" and see what results you get, this car has had bumpsteer removed.
The pics were taken last November at Silverstone where I did my first and last trackday, not really my cup of tea and I drove like a pussy
Anymore questions, feel free to ask.
Remember if this isn't sold by the end of Feb, I'm keeping it

If you are over 30 try Liverpool Victoria who don't charge extra for mods

As Nathan said try LV if you are over 30, if not expect to pay at least a grand.
I am 30, 5yrs NCB, and mine was £975 with elephant.co.uk with all mods declared.
