Default Cookstars "mystery machine" drag/track project

I thought I'd start a little thread with what's going on with my 99 UK 2000

It started off with me as a £500 runabout through the winter. I bought it as a non runner (unplugged MAF sensor and drove home in it)

When I picked it up it had a printout from SRR (mapped by JGM) for 318 BHP.

Here's a few pics of how she stands now.

Spec list is as follows

Engine (current)

Unknown.

Gearbox

Fuelling

Mapping to be carried out by JGM, several maps including meth.
Car is to be run maffless.

With a 20%meth map I'm hoping to achieve around the 500 BHP mark.

Stripped interior
Boot floor cut away and replaced flat
Beatrush rear dif brace
Front strut brace

Suspension & Brakes

Sorry, should have made that clear, since I bought it, I have added the coilovers, brakes and gearbox.

Also the wheels

Only changed spark plugs and Maf on the engine side though, with the downpipe decat it made 341 at Surrey Rollng Road, about an hour before spitting its head gaskets out.

Me to mate, mapping is booked for the 22nd & 24th so fingers crossed you'll see it on the 27th.

I'll be dropping you a PM shortly mate, I need a bung making up for the dump valve delete.

New addition to the ever growing pile of heavy expensive stuff in the dining room.

Hyper Exedy twin plate clutch.

Got it used, only had a couple of weeks very light use.

Been on to JT innovations today, and have ordered a hybrid AVCS conversion/new age coilpack conversion loom.

Bit pricey, but hey ho.

My mate popped over and fitted some bonnet pins today, cheap but functional. The bonnet latch doesn't catch if you pop the bonnet, so I lost any trust I had with it.

As soon as I source a ally bonnet I'll stump up for some nicer aero catches.

Dump valve delete bung, head gaskets, JTi looms, and header fixing kit have arrived today.

Only part outstanding is the ECU to be returned from Alcatek. They have assured me that it will be with the garage by Friday (crossing fingers/toes and everything else)

JGM is booked to put a base map on the car on Monday, to get the car drivable and to be able to test, ready for full mapping on Wednesday at Surrey.
