Right, new thread time as the old was too long and i couldn't find anything in it anymore and partly because the latest plans kind of warrant a whole new thread.
Not sure where to start, as you might know the car as it stands has been the same spec for the last year or so and i was kind of in limbo last as to sell it or not, budget had ran out to take it to where i wanted so it's been mothballed for what feels like an age :D Well as some of you might know i'm entered into the Time Attack for the full season this year in the Club Class so that can only mean one thing.....Upgrade time! Now, to be able get this done i've got a few people on board, Mikee Singh will be jointly running the project with me and with sponsorship from ScoobyClinic (www.scoobyclinic.com) we should hopefully see something competitive. *fingers crossed* :D
The ScoobyClinic tie-in will see us testing their new parts and they'll also be doing all the hard work, so i don't have to :lol1: the base for the project is their SC450 & track packages with a few tweeks here and there to both packages to meet our needs throughout the season.
Objectives for the year are obviously the TA series but we have a few other things planned for the car.
Spec at the moment is a bit sketchy in places as we keep changing our minds, will put something up tonite, but needless to say new engine, turbo, gearbox, suspension, brakes, wheels & tyres are all in the pipeline. :thumb:

Well it won't be quite so DIY this time, no space at my new house to do any work for one :( but hopefully people will get something out of it. Will still try and break the mould were i can :D

You bought the wrong house!
If you are to do the TA series, don't you think you should be getting on at it pdq?
Mould breaking is expected.

I know! the car just about fits, let alone work on it :D
The biggest time consuming job, the engine, is all underway and should be done early March time, everything else is either ordered or will be in the next week or so :thumb:

Hmmmm, 2 weeks on and, well.....not much has happened, engine work is still in progress, suspension has been ordered, pretty much decided on a 6 point bolt-in cage, full weld-in isn't really an option.
One thing i can confirm is the wheels :D Managed to get some lightweight Volks CE28s (6.2Kg), they're even lighter than TE37s at the same size by well over half a kilo :thumb:

Will be running 17x7.5 so we can clear the new brakes and hopefully fit 225s

Kev,
I know what you mean mate. What was organised as being a weeks work on my car (three weeks ago) is still not finished, due to issues with fabrication etc etc. Nothing is ever simple or straight forward..... unless the whole thing is off the shelf, which mine isnt. :D
Hang in there! :D

I'm not too worried, things are happening, just not on the car. The only thing i'm concerned about is getting a decent amount of testing in before the first round, suppose we're lucky that we get the whole of Saturday at the first TA round for testing, it's just if you want to change anything major then...
