hi,can i ask how much the centre bonnet vent was and where from??my car is a early pre face lift front so it might not fit???
cheers
Its a chargespeed item i got from Neil at Eclipse motor bodies (EMB on here) i arnt sure how much it they are now, i got mine on group buy. I think theyre still cheaper then RCM ones though
Just taken delivery of my injectors today and won a front interior light + loom off ebay as mine only had the middle one, so was able to fix the avcr pod in place for trail fitting - this will be fitted fully when i get some alcantera to trim the roof in. Il probs get some fancy LED interior bulbs for the front one aswell, and a blue one for the middle.
Modded my catch can to er, catch stuff and make sure it doesnt come back out!
On a classic the 2 rocker cover breathers a connected, so the oulet on the RHS of the manifold is effectivly 2, and then just the pcv valve to blank off
Open says me, Insert some hose to go to the bottom of the can.
No real updates, been saving for turbo, clutch, flywheel + simtek - gonna stop messing about doing little bits and do it all at once. hopefully should be ready for mapping july time - money permitting.
Anyway - big thanks to Daz Davies for dropping this off for me today.
5.4kg Going to to fit with ARP Studs + pair it to a Helix clutch...well not me personally because im NOT taking my gearbox off on jacks but someone will

Don't be scared of doing it yourself mate only took me 15 hours with grazed nuckles a sore back and massive ear ache off our lass sounds tempting doesn't it
just short of £300 but i had them posted back to me so this included courier costs
it was done by camcoat in warrington, but i will have to see how it fairs compared to zircotec etc, as mark @ lateral seems to think theyre two different types of coating.
Well, Plan was to buy it a new starter and clutch until the inlet came off so now i needs everything for parallel rails, including 6an fittings + braided line.
Block needs cleaning, A blue silicone inlet hose needs to go on, manifold to be polished + spaced 11mm from block using RCM carp tufnol spacers, header tank to be spaced from manifold using carl davey spacers + also polished, then once i source a turbo it can all be chucked back on.
GT specs have been bolted up, but schoolboy error means theyve gotta come back off to fit the up-pipe as it wont go in from the top
2 Rocker breathers that breathed oily vapour back into inlet have now been put on the 'vent to atmosphere' list so i can utilise my catch can to catch everything from the main offender - the crankcase breather!!
annnnd, still need to order some front drop links for the FARB to go on, expensive month
Trails
P20SPD - be alright, only 6 nuts on headers to undo..er again
Anyway, Solution for anyone running a Japspeed or similar 2 port catch can, heres how to get all 3 breathers NOT breathing oily vapour back into your inlet/turbo/intercooler
£3.49 bargains from the bay! One for each rocker breather, then vent your Crankcase one into the tank, and VTA/re-circ your tank as you like (did my homework, crankcase is main offender when it comes to oily vapour an i aint re-circulating anything )
Swanky poshness fitted
Awaiting -
RCM manifold insulators + fittings
Carl davey Header tank insulators + new injector O-rings
Whiteline wire front droplinks from scoobyparts.
Zero/sports thermostat from scoobyclinic
Starter motor...er still to order!
Inlet manifold ported / polished / coated to a mirror finish as silver reflects heat, so should in theory be keeping the inlet temps cool (along with the whole theme of trying to keep everything as cool as possible)
8 nights at work starting wednesday so will hopefully be purchasing billet fuel rails + silicon inlet from Harvey to fit weekend after next.
Thanks
I just wana say thanks firstly to Harvey Smith for 1) All the advice he has given 2) All the quality parts + service iv had from him, so thank you sir!
Secondly, massive thanks to AndyH for all his help removing my inlet / fuel rails / headers / turbo / pulleys..cant believe you took my inlet off while i wasnt looking
