Default Rally Poland

Loeb has rolled on stage 4!

Second rally in succession where he's binned the C4!

So come on Mikko! Championship lead is there for the taking!

No news yet whether he'll SupeRally tomorrow.

As a Ford fan in particular I couldn't ask for better news - just need Mikko Hirvonen to win now to take the lead in the championship!

But even for general rally fans this is great as it leaves the championship wide open with 4 more rallies remaining after this one

Cheers Jon!

I pop in now and then - I'm just such a forum/internet/MSN whore (twitter now too) that unfortunately scoobynet takes a bit of a back seat

Still unemployed, but fingers crossed I'll get something sorted before the summer's out or I'll defo not be doing WRGB this year (even with a job it's looking tight, and then there's the whole problem of getting time off )

ps. I added you to my MSN Messenger - if you haven't got it, get it lol

Cheers Jon - I've been looking for sales jobs, but nothing much out there that I can do or pays well. I had an interview last week for an operator technician job at Dow Corning in Barry so i'm crossing my fingers on that but the ability test that went with it was a bit harder than I anticipated lol. That would be great becasue the money isn't half bad - good enough to order an RS if i got it, so i'm just going to pray i get it.

And only 1 more on tarmac, so there is a chance for Hirvonen.
Although it would be nice to see JML do well as well

Not at all Steve, we all knew who you were refering too!

Well come on Ford, time to get rid of Jari and put Petter in the seat. How many times is he going to cock things up... and in the SSS... Waste of time. Get rid!

How much longer will Malcom Wilson stand by Jari-Matti Latvala, surely this is the final straw, what he did today just isn`t acceptable given the time that he had in hand over Dani Sordo.

I would like to see a British or Irish driver in the main Ford Abu Dhabi rally team, some like Kris Meeke or Guy Wilks.

Still think JML is still the quickest most talented guy out there. Just got to calm him down a bit.
Maybe the rest of the season in a Stobert Ford would be good for hhim.

I think the only thing stopping Malcolm Wilson from dropping Jari-Matti is the reason for his mistakes, his speed! Once he get's his mistakes out the way the man will be claiming multiple titles! Also how old is he now? 24? If there were other drivers of his speed around at the time I think Jari would still be at Stobart learning, but at the time most people were snapped up or without budget. Ideally Malcolm would still have him on a Matty Wilson style leash!

Was gutted for the lad when the news came through, if there's anyone confidence that can go from sky high to non-exsistant it's Jari-Matti. Saying that, he'll go and blitz the field in Finland by like a minute now!

What an event though, superb roads - Finland without trees! Jumps, crests, technical sections and a massive fan base. This event HAS to be kept in the WRC!

I agree - Colin McRae was exactly the same with Prodrive - remember the McCrash nickname.

I was absolutely gutted for Jari Matti when I heard

Some good points made above. But I think although Wilson has said he'll definitely drive in Finland, I can't see it lasting after that. He binned it in front of the Ford top brass who will want to see a return on their investment this season i.e. a trophy, and what J-M did was significantly wreck their chances.

I can't see Wilson ever having Petter back. The damage done was too great when he left all those years ago. But i would love to be wrong. Petter again showed that with a 3 year old car and a tiny budget he can challenge the top 5 comfortably. That would be an easy top 3 IMO if he had the latest kit.

What Ford needs is someone of the calibre of Carlos Sainz - consistent and capable of winning, at every event, in order to ensure high points finishes. I fear that with JML behind the wheel that's never going to happen

With Colin McRae though you always had the feeling that he could and probably would be a future world champion, ive never had that same feeling with Jari-Matti Latvala, i just can`t put my finger on it why but their is this niggling doubt that i don`t think he will ever be a world champion.

I like Jari Matti as a person but he just doesn`t seem to be learning, he was the same in the british championship before he stepped onto the world stage.

His pace isn`t in question as he is a very quick driver, its the all round package that i think will stop him being a future world champion.

Does anyone think a change of Co-Driver could help Jari-Matti, someone that could control his brain explosions a little better, someone with more experience of knowing what it takes to win a world title ?
