Yes had a long chat on the phone with Glen( top man bye the way) today and i was so impressed with the way he'd loved and cherished the car i did the deal. I'd already viewed the car the day before it drove fantastic! I've got a small collection of subaru cars but this is the cherry on the cake.

Welcome to Scoobynet and congratulations on the purchase of an awesome car. I personally think you've got that car for a bargain if you've paid less than £20k.

Get some pics up when you take delivery of her.

Default S204

Do you think it's worth getting a second pair of front seats for the s204? Maybe spec c or late STI ones. Two reasons one I'm 15 stone and like the gym and two if I used the spec c ones mostley it would keep the carbon ones looking like brand new for the shows and special occasions. Any thoughts gentlemen?

That's a fair point, can I get fitted seat covers for them? My other subaru's are a sti RA version 2, a Petter Solberg V- Limited 2004 and a S202. I think I've sold the Petter Solberg hopefully as I've replaced that with the S204.

It's a white one only problem with it is it came without the original Rays wheels. Hopefully some will come up for sale.

Got to say though the Petter Solberg is better to drive the 202 really could do with DCCD. I had Cheveron Motorsport in Staffs sort the geometry out, it was good any way with the Tommi Aria suspension set up but after Simon had worked his magic it was possibly the best handling car I or any of my 'car friends' had ever driven but I'm sure the 204 will make me re-think that one. I hoping the 204 will be a little more forgiving in the ride department as I'm nearly 48!

The S202 is a very aggressive and quite edgy car in the handling department, so I suspect the verdict will be very much dependent on your preferred style of driving.

I've just taken mine out this evening for a long(ish) drive and I have to say it drove me nuts on the motorway, pulling off 4000rpm at any kind of decent speed in top gear and nervously reacting to every small bit of input into the steering wheel - but was just bloody awesome on the back roads.

Darren,
Would you mind adding your cars to the JDM registry on type-ra.com?
We've been working on this since 2011 & your rare cars fit the bill perfectly.
Thanks
Dean

I'll give that some thought Dean when I've settled on what I decide to keep or change. Just about to leave raining Redditch hopefully it will be sunny Devon when I get there as I don't want to get the S204 wet!!

The M5 was horrendous coming back it took me nearly 5 hours to get back so haven't really had a proper play in the 204 yet to much traffic but it feels so sharp and refined. Hope the weathers good tomorrow so I can take it for a blast!

VX220 had nothing to do with me so before you start making wild accusations I suggest you actually read the threads. And as for the black spec c it's the only issue I had whilst trading for 3/4 years and was the reason I stopped.

I have quite a wide back, and have had a back injury from my wrestling days which has been aggravated by the S204 seats in my R205.
You can put a cushion behind you and the seat it does help, alternatively a standard sets of seats would be ideal. Alternatively some weigh lose helps to I was originally 15.5 stone and have now dropped to 14 which has helped.

Thumbs up

I'm getting used to the seats now mate I'm 34" waist so I fit in it was my back that felt tight. The more I drive the better it feels. My wife loves the seats as she disappears into them! Will try and put some pictures up but I'm not great with computers!

Does anyone know where I can get some Bridgestone Potenza re070's? I want some 235/40/18's. Can't find them anywhere, love these tyres.

You'll most likely need to import them, they're not available here.

Could always try the newer S001 tyre by Bridgestone.

Quick Reply: Subaru impreza S204, like buses?
