Yes the Super Roo oil treatment works a treat in the Legacy turbo engine. The tappet rattle was an added feature with this model!!!!!

Make sure you use an oil system cleaner product first, run for 15mins, then drain hot oil and put in *ONLY* 10w-30 oil, mixing in the Super Roo as it goes in, give it a couple of hundred miles, and you may (if you're lucky!) banish the rattle for good!!

Subaru (UK) used this additive for years when they had this problem, maybe give them a ring and ask their advice, they had loads of problems with tappet rattle, even when the cars were fairly new.

Dont be tempted to put in the more common 10-40 oil, its too thick for the tappets, thats why its best to use a cleaner first to get the old crap oil out, then put in fresh 10/30.

Hope this helps....
