just bought a my94, i am very very pleased with it. the trouble is i cannot stop spanking it are they up for it or should i just give the big one every now and then ??
this is my 1st scooby.
it has been serviced every 6 mth from new and i do warm it up 1st

Spank it regularly and hard then realise that your brakes are crap and get some Pagid or similar pads in there, then realise you need some more power so get a back box, then a downpipe. After that you can get better engine management but it does get pricey.

Look after your turbo, apparantly the Police Scoobies get through turbos very regularly, as they can't always let them cool down after a chase etc. I always drive at under 3000 rpm for the last 5 mins of my journey home (not hard as its through town) and them idle for 30 secs.

Oh and when you hear a buzz at 4000 rpm ish one of your heatshields has gone, no drama some can be welded, some can be taken off, and all can be replaced.

Do all scoobys tick & ping sound when u turn them off,it seems to be quite loud

Yep perfectly normal, its all the heat shields and stuff cooling down. Is loud'ish for about 10 minutes sometimes
