Default So whats so bad about keighley Trade center then?

Everyone I speak to says dont waste my time going there, but when i ask why not, they just say 'oh, ive just heard other people say dont waste your time'

Can some tell me why this place is apparently so bad?

Cheers

Take a look for yourself..........the cars are nasty

At one end of the lockup there is an area that has countless used tins of spray that they botch up the cars with.

I was looking at some of the STI's and was shocked to see wiring hanging out of the dash boards, roof vents open letting in the rain, hurrendous bodykits that would look out of place in Max Power magazines, and the salesmen .......................

A "barge pole" springs to mind.

Having bought my car as well as two mates cars from them i would say the bad reputation is well deserved all three cars had accident damage discovered later, vehicle preparation is zero the sva on one vehicle was very questionable and no history or auction slip was received despite several guaranties that it would be forthcoming. If their cars are cheap theres a reason for it tread carefully.

i havent bought a car there, but know a few olks that have, one got a supra and had nothing but trouble with it, spent almost 4 months in a garage getting rebuilt before it actually ran right, it was a mess of bodges etc and they got nothing but abuse when they tried to use the 'warrenty' KTC gave them.

another i know of got an EK9 type R, it was a mess bodywise, but did appear to be a bit of a bargin with the added extras that the muppets of KTC didnt realise, but the car was never SVA'd m sure, still read in kmph, had no fog, needed loads of work for an MOT......

heard other things that they wont let you test drive, the cars are of dubious quality and that they wont show you any grading paperwork form the jap auction.

my advice would be to only buy from them if you are an expert on what you are lookin at in terms of body and mechanics, i think it could be possible to get a good bargin, but most probably you will end up ripped off

Some people buy useless pieces of kit to go inside these useless cars TOO!!

they buy crappy old bangers get them valeted and charge top wack for them. they only imo buy dogs and smokers and wont pay the money for decent straight cars. there after sales cars is dire and they just dont give a monkeys about you the customer.. why go there when there are far better people about like cars of distinction and the like.. if you shop at the trade centre your asking to be turned over.

i think you need to worry about a company that has 200+ import cars at any one time tho. who would invest such a huge amount of cash into stock to sit about for ages unless its got dirt cheap....

not sure if this company is connected to KTC..... torque

Typical of the members of SN to rubbish someone they personally have never had any dealings with..! Instead they just listen to the Chinese whispers through the grape vine..!

Well I've had the happy experience of actually dealing with the KTC, buying this very rare s204 off them..:

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...n5467/S204.jpg

They were more than helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to buy my next car off them. They told me the s204 will hold it's value, probably even increase in value when the new model (dog..) comes out..!

So there you go chumps, never look a gift horse in the mouth as they say..

think biggest issue poeple have with them, particularly on here, is they try to sell cars as special editions when they blatantly arn't

But yet when I had a bad experience (still on going ) with a well known impreza parts supplier, I get ripped for just stating the facts.

That's the thing with scoobynet, we can say what we want about ktc, but woe betide anyone who has a go at another trader, or god forbid, an authorised advertiser! You'll be banned before your fingers can hit "send"

Exactly. It's about time a few people realised that!
Ar$e lick if you want, i'd rather go from experience, and being involved with subarus, will share that experience on here, be it good or bad. But it WILL BE THE TRUTH!

In 10 miles the Clutch went ...... how many miles was the test drive you took it on, and what did the RAC/AA Inspection Report come back with?

Exactly.

I have sympathy with ya fella but you MUST do your homework when buying used motors. I have done HPI/Inspections on cars from main dealers.

one visit to keighley itself will tell you why not to buy a car from anywhere round there.

half their cars end up on barryboys
