Default how to remove STi8 TMIC

does anyone know how to remove my top mount intercooler from my 2004 STi?

It pretty easy to take off - there are a couple of bolts one either side of the intercooler and a couple holding the pipework in place along the front which need to be removed.There are also two jubilee clips on the hoses front and underneath that need to be loosened and the dump valve needs to be taken off (2/3 bolts).
Putting the hose back on underneath was an absolute pain to do - both hoses have to go on at the same time - there must be a knack to it that I couldnt suss out.I had to take the intercooler off and replace the heat shield after the PPP was fitted and it took me ages to get the bottom hose back on.

as above but the Y pipe hose underneath remain on the i/c, but taken off where it jubilee clips to the turbo. 15 minute job.

I've just put mine back on and left the bottom hose connected to the i/c but getting it back on to the turbo was a nightmare!!!

You don't need to go under the i/c. Just undo the jubilee clip at the turbo then it all comes off in one.

Once you have removed the 2 bolts holding the intercooler to the brackets and unbolted the dump valve

Not that i can think off except as stated it can be difficult putting it back on getting the 2 hoses to line up but it is possible as i've done mine quite a few times now
