Default Switch illumination...?

any one know if the hazard & heat/rear screen switches are suppused to illuminate when sides are on......as front & rear fog light switches do light up.... ..(on other side of dash)......its a my98 turbo wagon.

They're supposed to. Pop the switches out and you'll find the two lightbulbs in each - one to indicate "On" and the other for night illum. Should be able to pull the old bulb out of the holder and fit a replacement from Maplin for £peanuts. Search the word "Maplin" on here and you'll no doubt find the part number.

This is my Scooby.  To set up your own Scooby, go to your user cp, and click 'Edit Settings'.

Here you go: Wire-Ended Filament Type : Small Bulbs & Lamps : Maplin

Removal of the old bulb and replacement of the new takes about 15 minutes and a bit of patience, but no soldering is necessary.

Fine tweezers help.

there u go u 2 (thats mystery machene & darren )now we wont be fondling around in the dark anymore,,, thanks to the other 2 (splitpin &alcazar)....cheers for all replies guys..........marto

Mine dont light up either but I thought it might be because its an import. Cheers fellas, you just gave me a sunday afternoon job.
