Switch illumination...?

any one know if the hazard & heat/rear screen switches are suppused to illuminate when sides are on......as front & rear fog light switches do light up.... ..(on other side of dash)......its a my98 turbo wagon. cheers martin

They're supposed to. Pop the switches out and you'll find the two lightbulbs in each - one to indicate "On" and the other for night illum. Should be able to pull the old bulb out of the holder and fit a replacement from Maplin for £peanuts. Search the word "Maplin" on here and you'll no doubt find the part number.

Here you go: Wire-Ended Filament Type : Small Bulbs & Lamps : Maplin

Removal of the old bulb and replacement of the new takes about 15 minutes and a bit of patience, but no soldering is necessary.

Fine tweezers help.

Mine dont light up either but I thought it might be because its an import. Cheers fellas, you just gave me a sunday afternoon job.
