** £15 track day camera!! ** Cheap Ultra Small Camera - probs interest all!
hi guys found this on another forum, thought it'd interest you guys, ive just bought one. should be good for weekend drives/meets/trackdays.
I know it's not going to set the world alight and you get what you pay for and all that but it's worth a shot for only £15 delivered. It's basically a copy of the Muvi cameras which sell for about £50
forgetting about the price for a minute i would be happy if i can get the same quality in the daytime vid from a £50-100 camera let alone a £15 one
anyway i've just ordered one to give it a shot (looking to use it on trackdays) but i'll get a video up when i've tried it out if anyones interested.
You'll need to get a micro SD card for it and you can get an 8gb 6 speed card for between £10-15 so it's not bad for £30max all in
Note. everyone who has tried it has mentioned that you cant skimp out on the sd card and must get a class 6 one so it is quick and you'll get a better recording with sound - link below to the one i have bought
This could be what I've been looking for, I've been after a compact video camera with decent quality and sound for karting. I'll take a look into getting one tomorrow thanks
just ordered one gonna give it a go. My internal camers are fine, but i might strap this to get some suspension in action or exhaust cam shots as for 15 quid doesnt matter to much if i kill it

Thanks Eggy. Just order mine from ebuyer, and used your link for the micro SD! worth a punt for 30 sheets all in. Now just to find a way to secure it on grill or inside car. hmmm?
Does anyone know if it over writes when the SD is full or does it just stop??
I would like to leave it running in the cab window to capture any incident/accident for insurance purposes.
I have questioned the seller but as yet, no reply.

Whats up eggy! Hows things?
This looks like a great little device, which i'm sure some may get in trouble using in certain rooms of the house!
Tim, that cat idea sound fun, but i imagine the camera may never return!

hi mate ive been told the battery lasts a bit over 2 hours, someone has managed to get it to last 4 hours either way.. the battery dies before the memory is full..
not sure of it overwrites though, will have to do some testing when i recieve it

Laptop is usually on at work so was thinking leave it on charge/constant power
Would be exellent if it does over-write, please do let me know, thanx

just saw this and have just brought one for £18.99 and a genuine 8 gb sdhc card for £19,not bad for under £40,the footage on youtube is outstanding for the price and i cant really see why you need anything better, cant wait to try it,think i will be mounting it with velcrow on the back of my rear view mirror,

Playing or racing Paul: and if racing, then which class?
eggy - i think the unit just goes into standby mode so it just won't record if the memory cards full, you would need to wipe it everytime
Correct, it's not fancy enough to manually over-write existing data.
I use mine for the purpose mentioned by eggy790 and just plug it into my PC every morning at work (free electricity to recharge the battery ftw) and clear the files off. There's enough battery life and memory to record both ways of my journey. Difference is I cycle to work, not drive, and use it to record any idiots along my way lol.
