Default Cleaning Gold Alloys

I have original gold alloys and find it difficult to keep tham as clean as I would like. The Autoglym stuff works OK to get most of the brake dust off but can anyone recommend something to shift the really stuck-on bits?

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover?
Ask SwissTony - he'll know - in fact, if you do a search I think you'll find the polished bliss guide on how to detail your car which should include decent products to use for this type of thing.

Wash with a good car shampoo.
Then apply Megs Wheel Brightener cut 4-1. Leave to soak for 30 secs to 1min. Aggitate with a good wheel brush if needed.
Rinse with cold clean water.
Repeat if neccessary.
Then apply Autosmart Tardis. Leave to soak for a few mins and wipe over with a microfibre work cloth.
Repeat as needed.
Wash with good car shampoo.
Dry.
Then using a mild claybar and good qd as lube, clay the remaining bonded on contaminents.
Wipe over with microfibre.
Wash with good car shampoo and dry.

Then apply an even coat of Poorboys Wheel Sealant or similar. Leave to haze and buff off. Apply 3 - 4 coats and then top up each time you wash. By doing this you'll avoid the need for future use of harsh chemicals to clean your wheels and the normal car shampoo will do the job.
