Default wow what a dffierence a remap makes

hi

i had my sti 5 type r remapped by andy forrest yesterday and what a difference it makes
its much smoother and better to drive and 333bhp/310lbft make it quite a rapid machine

Well considering thats 57bhp and 54lbs of torque more, no wonder your feeling the difference

excellent! what supporting mods have you got?
Im getting my version 6 wagon soon an ill be joining the waiting list for Andys expertise as well.
Ive got the importers to fit an 100cell down pipe, hks hi power exhaust, hks panel filter, walboro fuel pump an Ngk pfr7s.
Id be delighted if i got near your figures!!

Yeah what mods you got on it?
How does it differ from before, do you get power earlier etc

the car was completely standard when i got it and was quick but not quick enough

this is what i done before the remap

forge dump valve

k & n panel filter

walbro fuel pump

magnex headers (still has standard up pipe)

3" turbo back exhaust (not sure of make it was cheap)

ngk7 spark plugs

it pulls a lot harder from lower revs and keeps pulling all the way through the rev range upto 7k revs i very rarely take it over 7k revs as theres not much point
before i had the remap i was thinking the standard up pipe may restrict the power but andy said the standard one will help with spool up as some aftermarket ones can be to wide

before the mods and remap 276bhp@6633rpm 244lbft@4344rpm

and after 333bhp@6857rpm 310lbft@4677rpm

i done a 330 mile round trip to have the remap done but it was worth it
