Smile Type-25 - five years on

I can't believe it's five years since I bought the best all-round car I ever had, but I thought I'd mark the occasion by putting up a few pictures.

Still in Japan

PowerStation's workshop

The day I picked it up - 5th March 2005

Early days

Sorted the leather

First birthday

New wheels

A couple of meet pictures

It's still in my garage but only does a couple of thousand miles a year these days

Whilst not an official Type-25, I have had my "hybrid" for 5yrs within the next couple of weeks.

I have to say, I have never owned a car for such a long period of time and I have enjoyed every second (well... almost lol) of it. Must be something to do with the Litchfield "thing".

Perhaps it is time for a change though.

roflol @ Mark!

XRS,
Really?!

I remember seeing the Spec C in Iain's showroom, when he told me it was THE car to buy. I also remember saying to myself "I have only just bought my Blobeye UK STi (like three weeks previously).... how can I justify getting this Spec C!". The rest is obviously history!

I was just as excited driving the 2yr old Spec C home, as I was when I bought my very first Escort Cossie in 1998. I felt the dog dagglies on both occasions, coming away from the showrooms.

No, it's crystal grey. Don't know what colour the wheels are though.
