Default Newage Wrx figures - what you had?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering what figures you have got from a newage wrx and what mods?

What's the most someone had out of a wrx on standerd box and internals?

Thanks!

My mapper told me he knew of someone running 400bhp on a standard box!? For how long who knows??

I'm running around 280 with air filter, decat except the down pipe and a remap.

Yes my brakes are awfull too! Need uprated pretty soon.

Wow 400bhp, heard its the torque that kills them. And I suppose its down to how its driven. As a daily driver who uses the power every now and then shouldn't be too bad?

I'm running a standard Bug WRX engine with TD05 18G, front mount, roger clark headers, STi pink injectors with FPR etc. plus a big slug of 50/50 water and meth injection.

Road dyno at 403 BHP.

Killed two 5 speed boxes and now on a jap 6 speed.

The standard brakes are shocking and can't even cope with the PPP (c260 bhp) - I would spend money on these before getting extra power - as they say power is nothing withour control - you'll never be able to use it effectively

I'm running nearly this on a classic wagon with decat (standard uppipe), panel filter and Walbro. 280/310 to be precise. Bob Rawle map. Said the box should cope all day long, not sure what the newage 5 speed is like strength wise. Depends if you launch or cane it everywhere...

Newage have the 754 box which is stronger than a 752 so can easily cope with those sort of numbers.

I personally wouldn't be driving that too hard in anger, put it that way.

Mine's running approx 287/307 at the moment, would like about 320ish but then you ask yourself is it worth the expense/risk? The standard brakes can't handle being driven hard with the power it's got now, for a start.

340-350 is the max u can take a wrx on standard box without killing it depending on how u drive the gears. 300-330 is safe all day long on a newage
