Keighleys sports and performance
Just been looking at a car my mate was looking at on there site I've advised to stay clear cos of bad rumours about the place but has anyone any info on this place as he likes the car but would rather steer him clear
Any dealings/ rumours/ friends dealings would be great

Heard alot of bad rumours on here. Their cars also seem too good/cheap to be true.
Whenever I spot a car with their name against it, I avoid.
Saying that, if I lived nearer I would pop in and form my own opinion. But from rumors heard, I wouldn't travel too far or waste too much of my own time to view anything.

They import written off cars from Japan (obviously cheap as chips)
Then have an in house team repair them. How good the repairs are, is anyone's guess.
I personally have been there, an I must say its quiet an impressive set up.
However, if the rumours are anything to go by, an it's too good to be true... It usually is.
I like to live by the words. Buy cheap, buy twice...
Pay the premium bud an get the beast your after

Went down to view a "mint" R32 GTR they had in 7/8 years ago. Was sh!te! In very poor condition....
Most of the cars they had in were poor tbh, wasted journey
They have grown massively as a company since then by the looks of it though, so must be doing something right! They stock Lambos/Ferraris/Porsches etc now, some of which are over £100k!
Heard about the crash damaged buying from Japan, and would fully believe it going off what I saw when I went down all them years ago. Dunno if it's all different now, but wouldn't go back.....

Anyone that buys from Keighley sports and performance that has access to the internet deserves everything they get! Sorry if that sounds harsh, but there are that many horror stories that why anyone still buys from them is a complete mystery!

Please avoid these rogues. round two year ago me an the mrs travelled the 7 hour round trip to purchase a mk5 golf tfsi, looked good in the pics and the test drive wasnt bad but she had her heart set on it so ended up gettin it, bout 10 miles from home when a msg came up on the dash saying that basically all the bulbs had gone on the passenger side, headlights, tailights, everything. phoned them nxt morning and they said get it done and theyl pay. anyway took it a mate of mine whos a well known auto electrician in our area, he plugged it in. car came back with 26 faults just to do with the lights, turned out the body control module was fcuked. now that is a 600 fix. mate said take it pentraeth vw and get them take a thorough look over it. The car was that bad that they phoned me to come from work whilst the car was on the ramp. when i turned up they basically said that it should never of been on the road. been in a heavy frontal and ****e repair work. chassis leg was fooked. passenger front wheel was an inch further back than driverside and the wires to headlights etc. well they were jst 2 wires twisted together. not even covered by tape lol. They found this out as they had taken inner arch liner off all induction and plastic covers etc away. ur not really able to do this on a test drive. but then again dnt expect it. In the meantime two slow puctures due to two cracked alloys. next day we took the car back and took her old one from there. please please avoid!!! never did get my 270 back for repairs i carried out

Bad rumours?
Just avoid at all costs. I wouldn't even buy a newspaper from them after my visit.

I don't know about how other people go about buying a car but i sort of weigh up the person selling it just as much as the car itself. There are certain areas which i wouldn't buy from either based on experience.Really good used cars are very much in the minority I'm afraid,in my opinion.

An ex work colleague, told me never to buy a car off an asian lad in the bradford area.
Before any of the pc brigade/left wing extremists pipe up. The colleague in question was an asian lad.
