Interior

Checking that the Classic seat runners fit (which they did after a bit of persuasion!) the existing mounting point on the Newage floorplan. This required a bit of bending of the bracket for location in to the floorplan bolt fixings. Once the rails were in place, the bucket seats with the side mounts on were offered up to the rails, measured/gapped and then removed.
The next step was to modify the side mounts that came with the bucket seat. These side mounts required a fair bit of "chopping" about and the first task was to measure everything and create a nice leading edge to cut from. Using a Plasma Cutter, then made easy work of getting rid of excess metal not required in the grafting process. As with most fabrication, the surfaces then need to be cleaned up and in this situation a grinder was used. Once faces were now clean and prepared, everything was clamped in to place in preperation for welding the side mounts to the rails. With that all done for both rails and side mounts, it had to be completed all over again for the other seat......completed set of finished rails and side mounts, ready to be prepped
for priming and spraying.
While the overview above sounds quite straight forward, in essence it took about 2 days to complete this task properly. Problems encountered were issues like slight differences in measurements and gapping and problems with metal warping due to the various welding processes. In the end the final product was spot on, but it is certainly something I would not recommend as an easy job..... especially if you don't like the sound of pulling your hair out every 1hr!!!!
