What is the most effective interior mechanical protection ? I have moved in with
my girlfriend who stays in a flat so my scooby is parked in the street. It is fitted with a cat 1 alarm and a disklock. I am looking to add other locks such as brake and gear locks as i am ultra worried.
I know it is a feeble attempt to protect it
but i can only but try. I am also considering a pager system.

Could try the Barrier Dead Lock. Its approved by SIDC as well. However, it will not protect your car from being loaded onto a lowrider. Try a tracking device -

I want a barrier dead lock - anyone know where to get them? any URL's?

If the buggers cant open the doors then hopefully they'll move on to the next car!

James,

TSL in nottingham (also one of the Scoobynet sponsors) fit the barrier deadlock. It's about 290 fitted. They need to weld it to your car and takes about half a day. Had mine done last month there.

Their website is

Other recommendations:

Could try the pedal block - though I am not sure if it is n full production yet. Designed by 2 former police men and What Car rated it highly:

James, the barrier deadlock is a deadlock for the gearbox, not doors! For deadlocks for the doors, SPAL make a kit. However, this has led to people cutting locks out or just crowbaring doors open making a hell of a mess.

Bear in mind that the scooby has frameless windows and its nigh-on impossible to stop those from being broken. Security film isn't terribly effective.
