just been reading through this to torque my head down and there is a slight difference between this and auto data but it equates to the same thing

im still finding it hard to get my head round the fact the 2 central bolts are torqued down slightly more than the outers!

iv got a rough guide to what everything equates to in ft/lb from the nm and degrees of tightening

1. 29nm or i went 21.5ft/lb

2. 69nm or 52ft/lb

3. i went in reverse order slacken by 180 degrees

4. reverse order again slacken by 180 degrees

5. 29nm or 21.5ft/lb

6. 80 - 90 degrees which roughly equates to 51ft/lb

7. a further 40 - 45 degrees i found equates to roughly 65ft/lb

8. the 2 central bolts (a and b or 1 and 2) equates to roughly 70ft/lb

just to add i used all new bolts (although autodata states you do not need to) and thorougly oiled the bolts and washers prior to assembly

let me know if you think what iv done is good bad or indifferent

i know its an old post but gathered it must be called upon quite regularly!

cheers
