Kevin Connors grandad
HI GrumpYPants!

Was great to meet you and was a real pleasure to have Connor spend some of the day hanging out as a Team Japspeed member.

He was a very polite well mannered young man and he looked like he was really enjoying himself!

Just to give those of you on the forum an idea to what Connor got up to:

Scott (ZIPPY) and the family introduced themselves, along with a photographer that had been provided by Carl @ extreme magazine who was following Connor for the day Snapping every moment.

After the hello's Motty the BDC commentator took Connor on a BDC tour of the paddock and every driver he could see! Making sure to blag every possible merchandise he could along the way!
Poor Grandad (GrumpyPants) soon had his arms full with good bag from almost every Drift team there!

A quick walk over to the Speedhunters Stand and Connor was introduced to Americas Formula Drift stars Darren McNamara (DMAC) And Fredric Aasbo A few extra stickers and bits and bobs in Grandad's Bag and Connor had a picture and a signed poster from both drivers.

DMAC then told Connor to jump in his Speedhunters Rotory powered AE86 for some photographs. Sat in the drivers seat DMAC was asking him for some drifting tips Connors face was a picture.

His smile from ear to ear!!! Motty then got them all some VIP bands to gain Access into the Brooklands suite where they could watch the drifting from the best seats in the house!

Not even Team Japspeed Drivers can get in the BDC VIP area!

Back over to the Japspeed Pits and Connor was looking tired but you could see he was battling through to enjoy every bit of the day!

The drivers Shane Lynch and Steve "Baggsy" Biagioni took pictures and provided Connor with some Autographs and a T-Shirt!

Now at this point the Drivers had some duties to attend too, but rather then meet up with Connor later, Shane walked over to the Drivers signing with Connor and Baggsy!
Baggsy added another chair to the line up of the UK's Best 26 Drifters and perched Connor in-between them both!

Shane looked at Connor, handed him a pen and told him "Here.... Get signing your name!"

Connor was like a superstar with the general public getting 27 signatures instead of the 26!!!

After a while Connors attention span seemed to be "drifting" off and he ended up taking one of the Japspeed Signing cards and defacing Driver Baggsy's Face, much to the delight of Team mate Shane Lynch who has now kept the card as a souvenir!! Honestly Connor had us all in fits of laughter!

It was now getting close to the Top 16 Battles where all of our drivers had qualified. With this Connor and his family said there good Byes and kindly left the Team to get on with making sure the cars we ready.

Secretly I knew where they were heading!! Up to the 3rd floor of the Brooklands Stand to watch the drifting from the comfort of the BDC VIP area and grab something to eat.

I've gotta say tho guys in the small time we spent with Connor everyone in the Team Japspeed Camp commented on what an impression he had made on us all!
He found a little place in the heart of us all, and not only do we hope he had a great day we would like to thank Connor for making ours extra special!

He brought a smile to us all, made Shane laugh for the rest of the day,
Gave us an insight to what Baggsy would look like with rabbit ears thanks to his great drawings!

Gave tips to Drifting legend DMAC who came 4th! ( Thanks for the help Connor!) and watched Team Japspeed's Paul Smokey smith grab second place on the podium!

SO ALL THATS LEFT IS FOR TEAM JAPSPEED TO SAY A MASSIVE THANKS FOR CONNOR AND HIS FAMILY FOR COMING TO SEE US!!

AND MOST OF ALL THANKS TO CONNOR FOR ENTERTAINING US FOR THE DAY!!!
