The other thing that's worth bearing in mind is that you'll smash much more of your crockery and crystal in it 'cos it's harder and deeper than a normal sink.

That said, we'll almost certainly be going for a butler/belfast sink when we build/buy our house in Scotland next year, 'cos they look the bee's knees.
