A guy that used to work for me ran into the back of someone on the M25, we got a letter from one of these ambulance chasing no win no fee Solicitors,saying they were making a claim against our insurance. This was 4 months after the accident, and the guy had walked away, no ambulance was called, no mention of a sore neck either.
When we went to renew the company insurance, we found that the insurance company had just paid out £27,000.00!!!!
I assume that this was all for PI as I believe the vehicle insurance was paid out separately, even if it wasnt, it was a shed of a van that he was driving and wouldn't be worth more than about 5K.
