I used to use the tube and suck approach and with a clear pipe you could avoid getting a mouthful although fumes were probably a bad thing. Best not to smoke immediately afterwards
Years ago I bought a little suction pump that fits on the end of an electric drill and will do the job. Don't know how much they cost but can't be a lot. dl
