0.5bar?
so ive just picked up my 2003 blob sti up from the dealers and it wont boost over 0.5 bar. he mentioned to me that he HAD to put some normal unleaded in the car,has this caused it to go into limp mode? how would I reset it or am i looking at pipes, solenoid, actuator etc?
any help would be apprieciated

Newages can only be reset using a OBD2 data monitor but unleaded wouldn't normally cause this. Could be a number of things as 0.5bar is wastegate pressure - could be amissing 'pill' in the boost hose, faulty boost solenoid or limp mode as mentioned. If it islimp mode you should have an engine managwment fault light and some codes thar will need checking.

no engine warning light.
It had a diagnostic check a few weeks ago with the same issue and he found the turbo to manifold clamp adrift + fouling valve linkages (his words) and refitted the clamp.
where is the pill located?

The hose from the turbo to the boost solenoid has the pill. If it's a 3-port solenoid it won't be there, but if it's 2-port it will. Just fell the hose for a hard lump.
