Default STI Type UK-Black-340bhp

<<<<------or click in my plus profile for decent pics.

This is a genuine reluctant sale but unfortunately for me, it's time to purchase a practical family car.

Lovely deep metalic Mica Black first registered Nov 03 therefore 53 reg. Spec as follows;

Full authorised Subaru service history carried out at the following mileage/date,(3703 130704) (3856 091204) (13847 251005) (24943 020207) (31644 210208) backed up with receipts.

Prodrive PFF7 alloy wheels
Prodrive stainless steel Sports catalyst downpipe
Prodrive decat centre pipe
Prodrive fuel pump
Prodrive gear ****
Blitz Nur spec 'R' 3" stainless steel exhaust system
Powerstation Ecutek ECU remap (337 bhp)
Whiteline 22mm front and rear anti roll bars/droplinks
Tein S Tech suspension spring kit
Full Bosch laser alignment
Front lower splitter
Mudflaps with Subaru insignia
Clear headlights

Mot 191108 (done at Subaru 191107)
Unmarked interior
Intercooler waterspray
STI mats
Brembo front and rear brakes
3 x rear seatbelts
Air con
Remote central locking
4 x electric window
driver/passenger airbags

RAC Trackstar Tracker with documentation
Thatcham cat 1 alarm/immobilizer with certificate
Original 2 sets of keys, radio code and alarm code.

The car started off it's life in Nov 2003 and after 12 months the first owner sold it back to the dealer as they emigrated. The 2nd owner was an Enginner and he owned it for 18 months, then I bought it in April 2006. At this time it has 19k miles on the clock and was in it's standard original form.

After owning the WRX model previously, I instantly appreciated the extra performance of the STI. The STI is superior in everyway to a WRX, with a stronger engine, bigger turbo, bigger brakes, and much improved suspension to name a few enhancements. After researching the STI breed I realised that the car would perform even better with the Ecutek ECU remap that is common and advisable on these cars.

I carefully selected the exhaust sytem components and fuel pump and after fitting them, the car was taken to Powerstation (301106). The mileage was 24000 at that time. The remap was carried out on a rolling road, and the car produced a very healthy 336 bhp and similar torque. (graph supplied)

The remap has totally transformed the way the car performed previously. Now it gives a surge of power, instant pick up and a smoother drive. The fuel consumption is suprisingly better than a standard STI.
With the addition of the suspension modifications, this car is now a very quick and capable car that is a total pleasure to drive.

The car is in fantastic condition inside and out. It has no hidden faults, it's never been involved in any form of accident or scrapes and has no oustanding finance etc.

Since I have owned it, the car has never undergone any failures whatsover and during mot's and service no faults or advice have ever been highlited.
It has always been warmed and cooled before/after all drives as recommended by the manufacturers.

I have cherished this car to the point where friends and relatives have nearly called for an ambulance and the condition reflects it. Always garaged when not been driven and washed far too frequently with good products. It has not been near a carwash or driven by a female!.

I have nothing negative to say about the car apart from slight kerbing on one of the alloys.

If you are looking for one of these cars then look no further. I am honest, mature and trustworthy which I have hopefully highlited in my advertisement..
I appologise if I have bored you but I am very particular and feel that a car of this type requires all details adding to satisfy potential buyers.

If you haven't got the funds, then please don't contact me. Serious enquiries are welcome but boy racers and dreamers won't be tolerated.
Also consider insurance quotes. It costs me £700 with A-plan, modifications declared. £11995

Please pml me if you require any further details.
Now.....where's that sponge.

Location = Stockport, Cheshire

Just turned down an offer of £11250. Now I can keep it a bit longer.

Yeh, I've seen yours on Pistonheads also. There appears to be very few Imprezas that have sold on there. There are loads of decent newage cars but have you looked at the classics (loads of rubbish)

I have another viewing arranged on the 30th but i'm unsure wether he will show.

I'm certainly not in any rush to sell and I will consider the trader next week.

How do you get your add back to page 1.?

you should take it.. its £500 is not much for the total price of the car.. and it will save you the cost of the autotrader ad... and all the tyre kickers you will get calling telling you that they have 63 buyers for your car if you pay them £100 lol

Re PH Bob you have to re submit your ad to get it back to the first page............

Stuck mine in the trader and have had a few calls already but again not too sure whether anyone will actually show after this weekends debacle.

Like you I'm lucky that I dont have to sell (not sure I actually "want" to).

Best of luck with the viewing on month end. At least he'll have been paid

Sold today.

I am pretty gutted to see it go, but at least it went to a Scoobynetter and it should still make appearances on hear.

The worst thing was hearing it drive away.........that sound.

All the best Geoff
