No I didn't see any pics , the person I bought it off has pics on his site , and speaking to him gave me the impression he knows what he's doing , he has a lot of experience with all types of engines , gave me the history on the blocks , its a bit worrying that so many hatchback engines are failing , good job I'm having a forged engine built.

I'm having the engine built with a brand new nitrided crossdrilled crank , steel rods and forged pistons and competition bearings , will be using my type R heads and a VF34 turbo , I am thinking of going front mount and maybe a tubular manifold , will look into this , as I do gravel rallies I will look into the benefits of going front mount over the chances of hitting the front , as it is now its quite protected as there is nothing in front of the front panel , I dont think it would take a lot to break a front mount if I hit a bank or similar.

As I will be running a retrictor in the turbo , power will be capped , I'm looking at about 310-320 hp and 680nm torque according to Steve Simpson

Cheers Ian

Rods should be the same, as for pistons there are slight diffrences over the years on newage but basically the same, but not recommended for big power upgrades.
