Unlocking a phone ?
Just bought a HTC Desire HD and need to get it unlocked from T-Mobile so I can use my work sim, well once work have worked out how to change from a BlackBerry plan on the contract as non BB data usage is very pricey.
I kind of understand how it works, provide imei and pay some money, just seems to be full of fly by nights, T-Mobile want 15 quid which is fine, but takes 28 days, which isnt.
Phone is fantastic by the way, couldnt face the Blackberry any more and didnt want an Iphone, I think its as good if not better*
*Jack Trap baited and set....waits....

Ive no idea if there is a free method of doing it but I have used the people below to unlock around 40 blackberry handsets, the guy even gave me a volume discount.
No experience of HTC unlock with them but BB unlock was super smooth

I have used these people quite a few times, even dropped in at the shop once. Nice bunch, very helpful.

If you fancy giving it a go yourself, have a look into "rooting" the phone. It basically provides full access, like admin on a pc. Once you have that, you should be able to unlock very easily.
