Standard Impreza and servicing fluids
Probably a rarity on here but looks like the Scoob I just picked up is very standard. Anywho needs a service really and I'm gonna do engine & gearbox oils, probably coolant, plugs and oil filter. Know for oil filter it's best to use genuine Subaru and gearbox oil 75w90 is best (brand?).
But unsure for a standardish car with circa 99,000 miles (99 uk turbo) which oil and plugs would be most suitable. Thinking 10w40 or 10w50 fully synth for the engine oil. Which spark plugs are generally recommended NGK or Bosch perhaps.
Not had a Scoob for 3 years so a little patchy on servicing.
Thanks guys,
Andy

For my major service last year:
Engine oil - millers cfs 10/40
Diff/ gearbox - Fuchs Titan race 75/90
Coolant - Motul inugel expert
Plugs - NGK PFRB7

Not sure if that's any help bud?

I've spoken to my mechanic mate who is a very good guy with Scoobs. Says he may be able to sort fluids out but if not I have a very kind offer from Maz on here for some Millers going spare. Mini meet up in Yorkshire ??
Hopefully sorted now, seems 10w40 or 10w50 FULLY synth is the way to go with gearbox oil being a decent branded 75w90. Cheers gents

If so this is next up afterwards. I will pop the cam cover off to check it but I believe it was changed within the last 20k... not taking the risk forever though understandably.
Just getting rid of the cobwebs and rusty bits in my Subaru knowledge now
