Default Classic standard & stailness exhaust catback systems for sale

As per thread title. I've got two exhaust systems for sale.

First one is a standard exhaust system (centre section and backbox) from my MY99 UK turbo Wagon.

Good condition with just surface rust. Doesn't blow or anything like that.

£20 (could possibly post but at extra cost for P&P).

Second system is a 3" (with 2.5" taper for flange) straight through unresonated stainless system. It has a 4" rolled in pipe and oval backbox shape. It looks a custom system as the backbox is longer with a shorter centre section. All 4 hangers are present and it seems a good fit. At worst hanger adjustment with it being a 3" system. Not overly loud either with a stanard downpipe fitted - nice throaty burble. Again excellent conditon with only a few under scrapes and scratches, no known dints or ugly blemishes.

£50 (again could post at extra cost but backbox is looong so buyer would need to sort a courier!).

Any questions guys, send me a pm

Is the 3" system de-cat? Does it fit a standard 99 wagon?

In a word, yes. The my99 uk scoob only had a cat in the downpipe and a resonator in the centre section. It's often confused that there were two cats but there is only one. This will fit your wagon on a standard 2.5" downpipe. Was in my scoob for a short while but I ended up buying a Cobra sport system.

Hmmmm not sure as I need to replace mine for the mot but a de-cat would fail it so a catch 22 there, could take the twin pipe but want the bore really.....

I'm doing something wrong here. A stainless 3" catback exhaust system for £50 that mates to a standard downpipe and nobodies interested ??

Bump ready for the skip...

dont throw that centre cat , if it dont sell, cats worth prob £30 as scrap value
new mot rules state from next year state that even if it passes a mot emmision test it must have a cat if it had one as standard from new.
ideal for someone who has a v1/2 impreza wrx and currently it does not have to meet catalyst limits but it must have a cat fitted for mot from jan 2012. bargain bolt it on for mot as temp solution to pass.
edit
just reread ,is that true the centre piece didnt have a cat in ??????? i really thought they did?????

There isn't a cat on the centre section - it's a resonator.

Sorry mate there is a cat in the centre section ,as i removed it when i had my 99uk turbo. The part that joins onto your downpipe that has the words subaru written on it is your secondary cat .The cherry bomb section after this is your centre resonator. I removed the cat and welded a straight section in,then 2 months later did the same with the resonator section,in the end it was easier to buy a straight through centre section ,which is what i did.
I still cant believe that either system has not sold yet, only reason i have not bought one off you, is i have a cat,a std centre & a brand new std backbox already.I dont know why i am keeping them as i cant see me ever fitting them on my car again.

bttt

In that case I stand corrected. I assume the term 'catback' exhaust system was to describe the 2 parts of the system which come after the only cat. Otherwise why call it a catback system when a backbox only Woukd technically be one as it's from the second cat. You can see where the confusion comes in. I'll maybe keep the standard system as a spare and the gent below can have a bargain : D
