To answer some question, and apologies in advance as this is on my phone. The JDM box is closer ratios thus ideal for higher power applications. The UK box bogs down in 5th, where as the short JDM 5th and 6th will give you the required punch when competing. I can also supply the whole kit for a classic conversion, which if memory serves me right would consist of, Gearbox, Prop, Diff, Shafts, Rear Hubs, Linkage, Cradle and I can also supply the Brembo's too for a complete package. Ask me for what ever you require. Not sure if I have answered everything ot not...?!?! Cheers Rob
hi rob whats the miles on the clutch please, and are they r180 drive shafts?
Mot in Jan 2010 @ 71957 (miles and km)
Mot in Jan 2011 @ 76834 (miles and km)
Currently showing @ 77890 (miles and km)
Clutch fitted by Revolution on 26/10/2010, so im guessing the mileage will have been around 74'000 to 75'000, so the clutch has covered around 3'000 miles.
I was going to make you an offer around there forr itbut I'm waiting for a bonus payment. So cant afford it until that arrives later this week or early next
Incedently which did you prefer the UK or the JDM ratios?

Hard to say to be honest, I suppose it all boils down to what you intend on doing. The JDM 5th and 6th is much lower, I cant recall exactly the rpm but 6th @ 80mph is around 3'800 rpm in the JDM, where as the uk is closer to 3'000 rpm.
The thing is though although I havent tracked the JDM, you know full well that the gears just feel so much in sync with the delivery of the power. Each gear you can select you make very good progression, then you get to 5th in the UK box and its like you have selected 6th. and the power seems to die off for a short period. The JDM isnt like that and keeps pushing.
However the JDM im breaking only ever had the standard 300 horses as it was un-moddified unlike my previous UK 6 Speed which was over 400bhp.
