Turbo blanket?
Hi guys,
The heat shield bracket's busted on my 2003 Blobeye STi, standard VF35. So, is it better to have a turbo blanket or just get a replacement heat shield bracket? The manifolds are being coated and wrapped.
If a jacket, what's the best one to get? Are there any drawbacks to them?
Cheers guys...

Best thing is to run a blanket and the heat shield, ran that setup on my car and it reduced underbonnet temps a lot. It also keeps the stock look, as below ( I painted the shield black after I modified it to fit my downpipe ).
I used a PTP blanket bought from the USA

Cheers to 53 for a cracking deal on the PTP blanket, chuffed.
A few folk seem to run blanket AND heat shield, is that ok? Is there any chance the turbo can get TOO hot?
