Default Perrin 01-07 STi 6 speed short shifters £82.99 posted

My mate in the states gave me a deal on these awesome Perrin short shifters therefore I am offering them up here.

**BRAND NEW**

Quantity - 10 - 1 for me so 9

Price & Postage - £82.99 posted via Royal Mail 1st class recorded 1-2 day service. Cheapest!

Payment - Paypal, buyer to cover fees, or collection from SW London (£76)

Fitment - 6 Speed gearboxes only

If you need anything else then please contact me

Personal experience. Well, one way to describe the Perrin short shifter is 'Sling Shot Gearing' It feels shorter than a V3 STi box!! I have heard people complain about going from 2nd to 5th instead of 3rd o the 6 spd boxs, & slack on the gear stick. With this shifter all that gets taken away, it feels super tight & gearing becomes super short.

The kit comes with front linkage bushes, adjuster adapter to adjust the ideal throw, lubrication & an allen key. Fully boxed with instructions & manufacture warranty.

You will be shocked to see how short the gearing becomes & you wont be disappointed!

Very similar, the Perrin is slightly more shorter + its adjustable.

I don't understand how this can shorten the gearing? Shortened gearing suggests a different ratio. Happy to be educated though.

It doesn't affect the gearing as such, simply tightens up and reduces the movement required to physically move the gearstick from one gate to another.

More to do with the throw.

Its pretty simple. The gearbox needs to be lowered by releasing the cradle/mount so you can install the front linkage bushes. The adapter goes in from the top which is the easiest part. Full instructions provided with images. Max 1 hour install on if you have a ramp. There is a video on youtube if needed

Hi Pete,

I took this from Perrin,

ADJUSTABILITY

The PERRIN shifter allows for a 0%-50% reduction in shifter throw, reducing the distance you must move the shifter lever to enter the next gear. Simply loosen the set screws, adjust the adapter and retighten the set screws. It's that simple.

The instructions also come with recommended throw settings.

Hope this helps
