Default remove air bag light

i have a w reg impreza uk took the air bag steering wheel off and now the airbag light is on. how can i turn it off with out taking the dash out

Fit a 3.3ohm resistor in the plug.

Incidentally I have some, £1 delivered, oh shoot, I'm not allowed to sell as not upgraded my membership.

As above - 3.3 ohm resistor ( I paid 18 pens at maplin ) and it does work fine

were will i put it on the loom .would anyone have a pictiure of the plug cheers mike

The plug you unpluged from the airbag when you removed it

Does this just stop it working altogether or does it light up then go out?

It functions as though the airbag is still fitted, on and the goes out as though it is running through the self check.

So you unplug the airbag and put this on it?

yes in the plug left on the wiring harness. Just fools the electronics into thinking the airbag is still there
