the stadium wont happen under hicks and gillett, reforecast is 2012 but they're not interested in that.
all the top 4 have debt, other than chelski of course who have dirty russian money. man u and liverpool both have good turnover, but clubs interest payments are ridiculously high.

I agree re. the interest payments. Weren't Liverpools something like £36-37million this year, about 10% APR... They may as well have gone to Halifax for a loan

From BBC Sport Gossip website:
"Barcelona will make a last-ditch attempt to keep striker Samuel Eto'o this week as Manchester City prepare a £25m bid for the Cameroonian."
Yeah I bet they will!
£25m for a 28 year-old striker, whose best performances are behind him! How much did that goal against Man Utd push up his value then?!
I think what the headline means to say is that Barcelona will bluff Man City into handing over far more money for the player than any other club would consider paying them.
If he does go to Man City, I bet we won't see many goals from him or Robinho during the cold winter months up there.
They were both instrumental weren't they.
top class players! they are ****e and thats being kind.
Carricks contribution cannot be underestimated. If you think that they're both ****e then it shows your naivety. 3 titles in 3 years plus a champs league since Carrick joined. Hargreaves has been injured a lot but was instrumental in the team winning the title and champions league last season. his free kick against Arsenal springs straight to mind.
wenger set to sign an unknown from Ajax as a fix to our leaky back line
Yeah all 5'11 of him from that top league where he will have shown such quality What a waste of £11m ffs. 5'11? Central defender? In the World's best league? Yeah he is going to be the fix we need Wenger once again has lost the plot. When the fans said they wanted experience I think they were reffering to players from the top leagues
Next we will be signing Jimmy Cranky as a centre forward.

If the Tevez situation was sorted and he was staying, that would seem a good bit of business for a player thats not played much in the Premiership (yet). But as it's not, it does seem daft, although we have the Meessiah in Danny Welbeck Hopefully next season he'll shine a bit more given the chance. Same with Macheda (sp).
I'm not convinced by Welbeck at all yet. I think he's still developing physically and he looks awkward at the mo. He's still filling out so hopefully he'll improve once he stops growing.
I think Benzema would be a great signing and i'm not convinced on Wellbeck either. He just doesnt seem to be up to standard at the moment but this season we'll see more from him hopefully. I have a feeling Macheda is going to be great

Tevez out... Benzema in please!
I can't argue with any of that, we need a new Ruud, Wellbeck aint that man nor is Carlos (as much as I like his work rate and ability to hold the ball up a la Hughsey)
Rather keep Campbell and out Wellbeck

Welbeck is 2 years off being able to properly show what he can do. He's a big lad. Just look at his frame, shoulders etc but then look at how he runs. He's a bit like Bambi on ice at the mo struggling to come to terms with his extra size and bulk. I wouldn't be surprised if you see him fill out a fair bit in the next 18 months. Rumour has it Fergie see's him long term as a winger\forward akin to the role Henry played at Arsenal down that left channel. Obviously nobody expects him to be that good but I'm using Henry as the example of the type of role he could ultimately suit.
