Anyone on here into 2014's tournament?

Have any of you set your stall out today, watching the singles? EUR just needs 4 pts from a possible 12 to retain.

Mind, USA were in exactly the same position 2 years ago... And look what unfolded then!

Well done Europe. Cracking contest, great course and scenery, fabulous crowds and even the weather was kind.

I don't actually watch golf, per se.

But this event is awesome. Love Matchplay.

One of the best sporting events in the world. Well done Europe! Maybe its time to change the format to Europe vs the rest of the world?

The Yanks wouldn't want that, but not a bad idea.

Okay then, so who's strapping themselves in for another (potential) exciting rollercoaster ride?

Danny Willet's brother was correct, the bulk of them are trailer trash imbecilic scum. Especially later in the day after the beer takes over their limited brainpower.

Being realistic I think the gap is just too much, however I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.

"USA! USA!..."
Christ, is that all they've got.

They really do sound like a bunch of jingoistic, Neanderthal bellends

Just like the Aussies' equally unoriginal sh¡te: "Ozzy ozzy ozzy! Oi oi oi!"

Question

How do they select the pairings for final singles matches? Do the two captains have to agree? It can't just be drawn out of a hat?

David
I'm pretty sure that the captains choose the order of play (the players) for their OWN side.

But do they consult with the other captain to decide on each other's opponent? Or do they blindly choose the order for their own side, then just see what the matches (the two players) ends up being?

The two captains select the order of their own twelve players, although players may be asked if they want to go out early or late on.

There is no collaboration and the two captains don't know who will be playing each other until both lists are submitted.

RED WHITE BLUE, RED WHITE BLUE.

I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN, I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN.

Congratulation on the win though, they were definitely the better team.
However they are the most annoying bunch of b@stards

Yep, fair play. Better team this time round, end of.

They sank putt after putt, with tonnes of birdies mixed in. Mickelson was on fire in this regard.
