Bought the OE diffuser, cusco brace and cusco brackets off ebay from a vendor in US (cant get the cusco brace in this country and there was no way I was drilling holes in the car)) for my STI.The brace fits under the mountings for the anti roll bar,a piece of **** to fit (about an hour) and no drilling at all - existing holes used. The cusco stuff is top quality and fitted spot on.Dont think the diffuser does much but it looks good.Do a search on Welcome to NASIOC.com - North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club - News there is loads of stuff on there.

bttt, still not fitted mine yet, looks like I will need to fabricate some metal brackets for the mounts at very back of car.

Apart from the diffuser itself you also need a bracket P/No 91285fe000 to attach it to the rear of the car

What is the P/No of the diffuser itself & how much for this and the bracket? Will it fit a WRX (MY2002)?

no need for the wheel well brackets guys

We fitted one to a 2005 wrx sl a few months back, the holes for the front bracket(just behind the bumper)are already there just bolt straight in

The rear bracket attachments(wheel well)just drill three holes through the wheel well and bolt in with three decent lenght nut and bolt combo's

dont forget to put some sealer on the drill holes to stop rusting etc

the job takes no time, especially if you use a set of ramps

The diffuser needs a metal bracket that costs about £8 from the dealer, this bolts to the diffuser on the rear car edge and bolts up on the little ledge just behind the rear bumper

bracket part number 91285fe000

also make sure you order the two bolts required to fit this to the diffuser and another two bolts to fit to the little ledge on the car

enjoy

Guys;

Anychance of posting any suppliers for the CUSCO bar and all of the brackets? I'm not drilling my car for nobody!

Japanparts.com does the full kit for £95 or so, but delivery is £62. Has anyone found the needed parts cheaper?

(Fancy having this to beef up my MY02 Prodrive STI even more!)

*sorry for raising this from the dead - but better than starting a new topic on exactly the same thing!*

I have fitted the diffuser to my MY05. note PPP

The same one as Ethanrobs post..!

Worried about drilling the wheel well for about 5 minutes... realised that is is under the spare.. and it will never be seen... lots of paint on the bare metal...

Didn't wanna fasten a load of extra metal to my rear suspension!

Good luck
Mark

Would you mind posting a quick definitive guide of what you ordered and from where (with part numbers etc) and costings.

I am interested in a rear diffuser for MY05 WRX as the back looks to plain. Although the carbon fibre one i posted looks nice, i guess this is cheaper ?

Many thanks and get some pictures up too

Here is some pics of what you need and where it goes
Cusco Rear Diffuser Kit Subaru 97-06 all Impreza models WRX, STi, 2.5RS
You can get the diffuser and bracket that fixes under the rear bumper from any Subaru dealer (diffuser 91225fe000 and bracket 91285fe000) but when I did my car you could only get the Cusco brace and the other bracket by importing them from US or Japan (think this is still the case - havent seen anyone selling them in the UK).I imported the whole lot as a kit from the States and it was a piece of **** to fit.Did get hit for import duty though.
Do a search on Google there is pages on this mod.
