led to believe you need to fit a facelift bonnet as well as light's and grill.

No, it wont fit. You will need a my99 bonnet to suit the facelift grill. Otherwise you can use your existing grill with the updated headlights.

Ive had one of those on my car as well and the shape where it meets the bonnet is the same as the V 5/6 one so still wont quite fit a pre facelift bonnet.

There's "fit", then there's "fit"

What we are saying is that it WILL fit, (go into place), but it won't fit exactly, ie: the shutlines will be wrong, although you can live with them unless you are a perfectionist

The Head lights & grill will fit without you changing the Bonnet.

You have to Mod the grill slightly by cutting away some of the front edge where the bonnet shuts to & widen the release catch hole.
I did this many Years ago on my classic when i fitted Morettes & a face lift grill, I did do a how to way back then....

Erm... Here you go..

Blimey way back in March 2003

MY98 Grill on MY94 Scoob

You need a Bonnet Nah ..

When i fitted mine i didnt cut the grille at all, but i do have to use my little finger to undo the bonnet catch as space is rather tight
