'56 Black WRX Hawk Wagon sale/px
I am being forced to sell/swap for a cheaper car my fantastic black Hawkeye Wagon.
Owned since January last year (48k miles), and thought I was going to keep it for years.
However, the need to free up some cash due to a very expensive family holiday, and the fact that I won't sell my litre Tuono motorbike (hear that Mrs Stix..), means as a compromise I am thinking of selling the wagon and getting a cheaper to buy & run other car.
So either a sale @ £4995, or a p/x car value of up to £2000.
Preferred cheaper car would be something interesting and cheaper to run, quite fancy something like a Clio 182 as they look like a bit of a giggle.
General Details
2006 56 plate Impreza Sportswagon 2.5 WRX
53k
Tax - until September 2013 (yes unfortunately it is in the £460 bracket)
Mot - until September 2013.
Excellent condition all round.
All normal standard features etc.
Modifications
Full Milltek inc Sports Cat, panel filter & remap done @ Powerstation through Subaru at a cost of £2173 (see pics below) in June 2007.
As dyno pic shows, 285 bhp & 342 lbft.
Genuine Prodrive 18" GB270 wheels with RB320 centre caps.
Recent front disks (not sure of make as done just before I had it) with new Mintex pads 5k ago.
Falken 452s all-round (less than 2k on them).
Pioneer AVIC-F910BT Double din touch screen sat nav /dvd player with parrot Bluetooth built in. Includes aux lead into centre armrest and SD slot.
Bad Points
Hardly any!
Slight scuff to underside of bumper N/S (need to look for it)
A few tiny stone chips and a couple of marks on alloys.
If you are into detailing, could do with a good machine polish as some swirls.
Work Done since Jan
As mentioned earlier, I thought I was keeping it for a good number of years. So since I have had it it's had:
Full service inc. cambelt @ Three Arches Garage Cardiff Jan 2012.
Serviced again @ Three Arches last week at a cost of £800 including New RCM Fuel Pump (£150 - best there is apparently) and all oils including gearbox & diff, new rear brake pads also.
New fuel pump as original failed but no damage elsewhere, however did need a new fuel filter at same time (£78).
Re-underseal @ Indigo-GT.
Compression check (after reading some horror stories of the 2.5 on here) - perfect by the way, no issues.
Based in Bridgend, South Wales.
Pics
Any questions, ask away

Slipped onto page 2 so bumping it up.
Had a couple of offers/swaps.
Am resigned to selling/swapping but in no massive rush.
So not going to reduce price, before I spent £800 on a service with new fuel pump, fuel filter, brake pads etc. 2 weeks ago I would have reduced it to £5250 as it was due a service.
However, for now price is firm @ £5500. These are selling as standard in dealers for £6999. This has at least £3k in good proven mods which means the price is more than fair, especially as nothing at all needs doing for a good while.
Would prefer to sell outright, but will entertain any offer of a px but will need £3k on top of your car.
Thanks.

Very little interest in a fantastic car that I do not really want to sell.
One person was coming to see it then pulled out last minute due to worries about the 2.5.
If you read posts on here - 'ticking time bomb' seems to be the popular comment no one would buy a 2.5.
This 2.5 was modded in 2007 not long after it was first bought (see the receipt above). It's been 'ticking' for 6 years with no issues.
Some go bang - yes I get that.
That's why I had a compression check done when I had it last year.
So, £5250 that's the final reduction I am not desperate it's worth more than that but there 'ya go?

Going on hols end of July, so need to sell by then.
So, getting a bit more serious have put a 30 day ad on Pistonheads:
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...n-2006/1492995
Price on PH £5495, but for SNers £5250 as mentioned previously.
Cheers,
Ian.
P.S. still open to a P/X offer with 3k my way, but 172/182 much preferred or something very similar.

Yes don't worry. All oils including gearbox/diff were changed last month with no advisories whatsoever and Three Arches go right through a car when they service so peace of mind for myself and whoever buys it

Yes that does sound extremely suspicious, so I'll clear up that comment.
I arranged to do a possible swap with namron with his Leon Cupra plus cash.
Met up with him, and me being an absolute plonker hadn't checked the oil and it was really low. So we put some in but understandably namron didn't want to go ahead with the sale especially as he had an issue with low oil on a previous Impreza.
I think the reason I hadn't checked the oil was due to my previous 2 Imprezas never losing a drop. However they were 2.0 and this is a 2.5 and they do use oil. As I now know.
No damage whatsoever done though, full service last month with no nasties or advisories. Three Arches has two ex-Subaru mechanics and they pride themselves on their service and do a thorough check right over the car when they service.

See the Leon cupra that you was going to swap with, **52 KJO is my old leon cupra that i swapped to get the scoob i have now. If i manage to sell my Honda Accord 2008 ill buy it back in a instant.
GLWTS btw mate, car looks fantastic and a lot of car for the money. I would consider a swap/px but it'll need to be a few quid my way as well and its just not what i need (my want'ing side says yes however lol)
