Newage droplinks 2007 GB270
Morning guys - this seems to be a real grey area so will hope that someone can clear this up for me
I had the following type front drop links on my gb270:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-WRX...item3cd44333d8
One of them broke so I bought these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-SUBARU-...item461a1c02d8
they seemed to fit no bother - i had read all about alloy and steel arms etc but thought that alloy arms had the figure of 8 type links and steel arms had these ball joint type ones.
Therefore I thought the HD meyle ones would be ideal?
Now I'm not so sure - they seem to be pulling the arb out of line and causing a knocking noise.
anyone know if I should have bought the first one above again and not the second?
many thanks - Roo

Did you every get to the bottom of this?
I just tried fitting the same meyle links and didn't like the look of it, they just seem far too wide so puts the link at a freaky angle. Luckily I didn't knacker the old one so it went back on. Going to have to contact the seller I think and try and send them back.

Wrong ones :)
Aye bud - the meyle HD ones were not the right ones - they are for an STI with alloy wishbones.
I bought another set that are the right ones now.
The ball joint heads are very different - meyle ones were about 5/6cm wide and the proper ones about 3/4cm so a fair but smaller
I reckon though it's my arb bushes that are to blame though - with the Meyle ones the whole bar moved across to the side and j had to tap it back.
But to answer the q - knocking is still there but hopefully the new arb bushes will fix it
