Default Saloon Bug STI suspension fit a WRX Bug wagon?

Hi All,

I've been doing a bit of searching and found the answer on NASIOC, but sometimes things that are correct for the USA models are NOT correct for the UK cars.

I've purchased from bug sti springs, shocks and top mounts.

Do I need anything else to get them to fit my bug wagon?

Really like to hear back from someone that has done this, and how the installation went.

Cheers all

JURA! Good to hear from you again. Hope you and Latso are well.

Are you getting another Scooby?

Did you do this on your wagon? I've read that it makes the car lower at the back? Is there a way round this? maybe a specific set of springs?

Cheers again for all the info you've given before, and still giving me!

The only way to avoid this is to go for coilvers instead of lowered springs on sti struts.

That way you can keep the back high, however I am very happy with my coilovers and the performance even when the car is lowered.

Hi Resh

We are fine, are you too OK,are went with wagon? Did you sold yours Blobeye?

Not sure if we will be getting one,for now no Resh

We are never run STI shock on the wagon,we are only have lowering springs fitted and then coilovers

Specific wagon springs not sure if they exist,we are used Pi springs, yes if you use saloon shocks on the wagon, rear will be lower than front

Please have look on this thread

On wagon only way how to do it correctly is using their shocks(from wagon STI,bit rare) and lowering springs or go with coilovers, both will cost you bit more

Thanks,Jura

As above really they'll fit straight on, just be prepared for a saggy bum with the saloon springs. I had spec c ones on my bug wagon but now run tein coilovers which solve the problem obviously. Maybe apex springs could offer a stiffer rate spring for the rears and I'm pretty sure tein made wagon specific springs too. ATB.
