Default diagnosis ideas....

Been out and about today, driving hard in some areas and taking it steady in others (having to contend with typical Vauxhall Astra fvckwits that like tailgating so much ) and it seems I now have more "knocking" than when we set off.......im thinking shockers straight away, Ive just doen a search and seen its a common fault on the sti's apparently?

I can deffo hear the tapping/knocking on sh1tty roads more than smooth ones, and especially when Im turning, it seems to be from the rear drivers side.....

Just wondered...have I got it right you reckon (shocks) or could it be the struts etc??

And also, how much am I looking at to get it sorted? Gonna ring Scoobybits in Rotherham tommorow and see if I can take her down tuesday for the once over.......I was thinking about some new springs anyway so maybe its fate

Open rear door stand on sill and jump up and down....
if it knocks it's probably the rear strut going (they all do !)
guess how I know this.....

Ive rang tyhe clinic and got it in for next thursday, my works van had a new shock and it was the exact same thign as whats happening on the car (noise wise)

I think im gonna get some eibach springs fitted whilst the shocks are off too, the guy on the phone (who was sound btw) explained all about the built design and how scoobyclinic have developed their own which differ slightly, says only one person has ever gone back to them with the problem recurring, and thats cos they dropped a b0llock apparently.

So decent news, plus it wasn't half as bad pricewise as I thought
